Thread Positivity is a small handmade clothing brand located in a tiny town in southern Missouri. But we’re more than just a brand—ThP has grown into a community of friends who are becoming family. And it all started with some $3 curtains.
I grew up playing in my grandma’s sewing room but had never really spent much time in front of a sewing machine until my mom and I found a set of pink ombré curtains while thrifting one day. They were too long for the windows in Everleigh’s room & would need to be cut and hemmed to fit, but they were perfect.
My true passion for sewing followed soon after when I started upcycling thrifted items into clothes for my daughter Everleigh. There’s just something about taking an old tee and turning it into something new to be loved again. Suddenly Thread Positivity was born.
Fast forward—and I’ve gone from making a few outfits for Evie—to shipping packages to states this small-town girl has never even been to. It’s still so surreal to me. The best feeling for me as a small designer is knowing someone out there loved what I made.
From sourcing items to designing & sewing items to packaging, quality control, & post office runs with Evie—We continue to be a one-mama-run shop & I hope you feel the happiness and love we put into every item.
